On 21 July 2000, Teleconnect transfered the Optical Products Division to LightPointe Communications, Inc.
In the magazine "brandeins" the article "Lichtpunkt Ost" was published in March 2003.
In this article it is illustrated, how LightPointe Europe GmbH arised from the Optical Products Division of Teleconnect as result of longtime cooperation between Teleconnect and Dr. Heinz Willebrand.
